The AP-68 links Bilbao and Vitoria in a nearly straight line. You leave behind the green hills of Bizkaia, and in just over half an hour, the landscape shifts: the Llanada Alavesa opens up, flatter and more open than the country around Bilbao.
Once in Vitoria-Gasteiz, there’s plenty to see: the Cathedral of Santa María, Plaza de la Virgen Blanca, the Green Belt (Anillo Verde) that rings the city, and its pintxos. If the trip allows, we can make strategic stops along the way.
